adult Beginner Ballet Class - Barre


Ballet barre The ballet class starts at the barre, as well as the ballet technique itself. The barre develops the strength, speed, balance, flexibility, attendance, alignment, range, articulation and coordination that ballet requires. The barbell exercises are not separate steps, nor is the barbell simply a stylized warm-up for the core steps; it's where you learn and maintain your skills. Whether it's a fast or slow bar or one that changes every day, barre work is the foundation of ballet technique. This is a class for adult beginners to take at home or even as a warm-up for ballet teachers before teaching their classes. In the exercise Petit battement jete the leg is shown a little above the correct height because the camera was too close, I went up a little higher so that it could be seen clearly. Remember, as you lift your foot off the ground remember not to lift too much, kick your leg out 30 degrees in a controlled way.
